Our Story
First a university game. Then a GPS app. Then a rebellion against loneliness.
How it started
It started at university with a game called Ou Est le Poulet - one person puts on a chicken suit, hides in a nearby pub, and everyone else races to find them. Very silly. Also, very fun.
Years later, I rebuilt it with live GPS tracking, challenges, weapons and a leaderboard. After a lot of testing, we launched as Chicken Rush.
People loved it. We sold out dating events, went viral, flew to New York to get hunted in the middle of a hurricane, and started doing corporate hunts for companies like Amazon, Meta and Nando's - team building, but actually fun. At one point we had 500 people signed up to hunt a chicken at Glastonbury festival - turns out we weren't allowed to do that, a story for another time!
Why it matters
The world got lonelier after COVID. Screen time is at a record high. In the UK, one pub closes every day. It's got so bad, we now call it a "loneliness epidemic".
So we are creating experiences that get people together in new ways, here's two:
Chicken Rush | 2022 - present
Chicken Rush exists to get adults back outside - exploring, laughing, and meeting people in fun new ways. Since that first game, over 10,000 people have hunted a Chicken. A surprising number have even found love.
Empty Chairs | 2025 - present
In November 2025, Dean (part of the team) lost his best friend to suicide and came up with a simple idea - sit in a pub every evening with an open invitation to anyone who wants to come down and have a chat.
It has since turned into a bit of a movement. Spreading around the world, with volunteers in orange hoodies sitting down in pubs every night - offering an opportunity to talk.

If you want to hear how this whole thing started - we wrote up the full story - it's quite entertaining.
If you wanna chat, please get in touch or even come to a public hunt! We don't peck.
